For our first full day in Door County, we drove to Sturgeon Bay. We started out by walking around outside the maritime museum (we did not go in). For many of us, all things to do with water and sailing were novelties, so the boats on the lake as well as the random boat pieces scattered around the outside of the museum kept us quite entertained.

We also walked around downtown Sturgeon Bay, where we tried our first cherry wine. A winner, in my opinion. The downtown was quite cute, but I was secretly wondering how much better the town would look with uniquely painted doors.

We then took a tour on the Harbor Lady. We saw closeups of many of the boats in the bay, and we also saw a lighthouse.

This post covers only our morning. We had grand vacation plans with too much to do, so there will be more in the next update.
