Leanna and Joel’s Great Escape

I should have posted this a long time ago. The main reason is that I wanted to upload this video to our server, and we have a global variable set to limit the maximum file upload size to 7 or 8 MB. It’s been so long I can’t remember exactly how big the limit was. (Someone call a programmer!) And so I have resorted to uploading this video to youTube. Sigh.

It was a glorious day in May, and we had waited a very long time for this bride and groom to leave the church. So long, in fact, that some people left and didn’t get to see them drive away. Their car was decorated with only materials that were on hand. Amazing.

In the back of the car there are aluminum cans strung together with tulle. That was my doing. The racket those cans made as the happy couple drove away was great.

There were several other worthy contributions by creative wedding attendees.

  • There are balloons wedged underneath the wheels. Those made a satisfying pop as they backed out!
  • There are neon straws sticking out of the wheels and other places on the car. I have never seen this one before.
  • There are dandylions sprinkled on the windshield, the greenest of all of the contributions.

Don’t forget to notice the funny messages on the windows of the car.

I didn’t know brides and grooms were allowed to get changed at the church before leaving. It seems like cheating!
